AJW Plant Hire is a family owned Australian business located in the Illawarra NSW area. We pride ourselves on good old fashioned customer service, and supply only the best equipment and services to our customers.
We can provide both dry hire (you operate) or wet hire (we operate). Our operators are highly skilled and been working in the industry for many years. Our equipment is always sparkling clean, fully operational and exceptionally maintained. Our prices are lower than the multi national hire firms because our overheads are lower, not because we cut corners. We are tight access specialists, contact us today to discuss your needs!

RETAINING WALLS - TURF - LANDSCAPING
Competitive rates! Sleeper walls, garden edging, landscaping, and we supply and lay all major turf varieties.
Our services include: retaining walls, excavation for turf prep, pools, driveways and landscaping. As well as garden edging, and geo hex installation. Let us give your home the yard it deserves, we can even lay the turf for you!

EXCAVATOR WET HIRE
Hourly rate as per quote, minimum 4 hours apply.
All wet hire jobs need to be inspected and quoted, additional charges may apply.
If you would prefer a reliable excavating contractor with years of experience, then our Wet Hire service is for you. We operate the machine while you sit back and relax knowing the job is being carried out by a fully insured and licensed professional. We provide our clients with a personalised quote that’s catered to their needs. Whether it be for a new driveway, swimming pool or clearing spoil, we've got you covered. TIPPER WITH DRIVER - WET HIRE
Starting at $120 ex GST per hour
Our drivers have over 25 years of heavy vehicle operation experience.
Standard hire agreement terms and conditions apply.
Tipper truck sizes available are 8T (as pictured) and 12T Bogie. Both trucks have steel bins and two way tail gates.

3.5T EXCAVATOR DRY HIRE
$330 per day / dry hire
Plus a $400 security bond, fully refundable when machine is returned on time, undamaged, refueled and clean.
Freight from $110 each way.
Cleaning and refueling charges will apply if not completed. Standard hire agreement terms and conditions apply.
Our 3.5T Yanmar excavator is for experienced operators only. It features a certified ROPS/FOPS canopy for operator safety, rubber tracks, 300mm, 450mm and 600mm digging buckets with teeth and a 1200mm mud bucket. Fitted with front, rear and boom lighting for night work. these high performance machines are ideal for all types of small site excavation work.

1.7T EXCAVATOR DRY HIRE
$190Â per day
Plus a $200 security bond, fully refundable when machine is returned on time, undamaged, refueled and clean. Standard hire agreement terms and conditions apply.
Our mini excavators do not require a licence to operate them, making them perfect for electricians, plumbers, concretors, landscapers or the home handyman.
3 machines available - Yanmar Vio17. These small but powerful machines are perfect for tight spaces, narrowing to just 980mm or widening to 1300mm. Features include a boom light, 2 x front canopy lights and 2 x rear canopy lights ideal for working at dusk or night. Included is an easy to tow trailer, which does not require electric brakes.
AUGER HIRE - FOR MINI EXCAVATOR
$70 per day extra when hired with our excavator.
$110 per day when hired without our excavator.

Have fence holes to dig? Or maybe it's piers for a slab? Whatever your needs, our CAT Auger can complete the job. We can supply the drive unit, and a 610mm extension for those extra deep holes. Various drill sizes are available to suit every job.
Our augar is the only one in the area that comes in a purpose built cradle, making it much easier to attach to the excavator, and only requiring one person.
Note: If hiring the augar without one of our machines, your machine must have Caterpillar pick ups.
TILT BUCKET HIRE - FOR MINI EXCAVATOR
$80Â per day extra when hired with our excavator.
$150 per day when hired without our excavator.

This very handy bucket will make those landscaping jobs much easier! Perfect for leveling and shaping in preparation for turf or concrete.
Suitable for excavators from 1T to 1.8T.
Features include a rear cutting edge and a tilt of up to 45 degrees.
Note: If hiring the tilt bucket without one of our machines, your machine must have Caterpillar pick ups.
HYDRAULIC GRABS HIRE - FOR MINI EXCAVATOR
$110Â per day when hired with or without our excavator.
Standard hire agreement terms and conditions apply.
This versatile attachment is great for any project that requires pinpoint pick-up accuracy. Better handling of awkward materials, with more flexibility. Fully hydraulic making even the heaviest lifting easy!
Note: If hiring the grabs without one of our machines, your machine must have Caterpillar pick ups.
3.6T loading ramps.
3.45m long and 450mm wide with internal track width of 345mm.
Great for loading cars, excavators, bobcats and loaders etc.

BOBCAT - SKID STEER DRY HIRE

Our Bobcat S70 skid steer does not require a licence to operate. At only 1190mm wide this little skid steer can fit into places others can't! Features include front and rear canopy lights, 4 in 1 bucket and extra wide tyres for added stability. Includes an easy to tow trailer, which does not require electric brakes
1.7T EXCAVATOR & BOBCAT COMBO
$400Â per day / dry hire
Plus a $200 security bond, fully refundable when the excavator and bobcat are both returned on time, undamaged, refueled and clean. Standard hire agreement terms and condtions apply.
Combine one of our 1.7T excavators and the S70 skid steer, and save some money!
CONCRETE SLEEPER GRAB
$55 per day / dry hire.
Plus a $100 security bond if not hired with our machine. Fully refundable when returned. Standard hire agreement terms and conditions apply.
Included with a lifting eye for attaching to any excavator, mini excavator, mini loader, skid steer loader, telehandler or backhoe.
The sleeper grab can be used to lift and lay a variety of concrete, sandstone, blue stone sleepers, concrete walls or prefabricated products.

WHAT AREAS DOES AJW PLANT HIRE SERVICE?
We service the South Coast, Illawarra and Southern Highlands of NSW. From Helensburgh in the north, to Nowra in the south and west to Goulburn. Pick up is from Yallah NSW.
WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DOES AJW PLANT HIRE ACCEPT?
We accept cash, or card in person or over the phone - credit, debit, or EFTPOS card. Payment is strictly on pick up or delivery of the equipment.
Note -Â if the security bond is paid via card, it will be refunded to the same card.

Saturday - 7.00am to 5.30pm
